i have started thinking in weather. it rains so much that a river overflows its far from all the cars no one cares except me but i care too much. you are in the water floating like you are a planet and i won’t eat again until i can fit in your patterns. there are rocks and there is cement and they are doing impressions of your hips because i told them it is my favorite part of you. it stopped raining and i’m in a house where i want to kiss the people that look at me like i’m a plant, they’re drunk and they don’t know better and in their dreams i could tangle into them and spit cobwebs into their mouths. instead i go outside and cry and wonder where the fireflies have gone this june, there are a few in the trees and i wonder if they feel as lonely as they look. i wonder if i feel as lonely as i look. i go inside because the sky is starting to feel too big again. 
dan hangs up the phone because his break has ended and i undress the way that i always do because it is a tuesday and the past three days have been tuesdays. the air is warm and the shower is warm and i want the water to be you on all of me at once and i am naming every drop of water after people i have known. some of them linger on my skin and some do not and i try to be understanding and i try not to fall in love with them.
